The Scottish Cities Alliance is set to return to The UK’s Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF) for a third year, highlighting investment opportunities across Scotland’s eight cities. The UKREiiF event will take place between 21-23 May 2024, in Leeds, and it is set to welcome over 10,000 attendees across the 3-day programme.

The Alliance’s presence will be led by Cllr John Alexander, Chair, Scottish Cities Alliance and Leader of Dundee City Council, alongside Cllr Susan Aitken, Leader of Glasgow City Council; Cllr Raymond Bremner, Leader of Highland Council and Cllr Ian Yuill, Co-Leader of Aberdeen City Council. Joining them are senior officers representing the eight Scottish cities, officials from the Scottish Government, and key stakeholders including Scottish Development International (SDI) and the Scottish National Investment Bank (SNIB).

Speaking of their presence at UKREiiF 2024, Scottish Cities Alliance Chair and Leader of Dundee City Council Cllr John Alexander says;

The Alliance’s delegation to UKREiiF is continuing to build year-on-year and we are delighted to be facilitating the attendance of a larger delegation of city leaders and senior officers to the biggest event of its kind in the UK. We look forward to showcasing what Scotland has to offer to the UKREiiF audience of key players, developers and decision makers within the investment and real estate industry from across the UK and further afield.
The coming together of all the Alliance partners for this event demonstrates that we are not content to rest on our laurels, rather that we are ambitious for our cities, driven to articulate the scope and scale of Scotland’s investment potential, and determined to attract investment that improves and supports the wellbeing of our communities as well as aligning with our net zero goals.
“Whether we are talking about attracting investment into local heat networks or into our green freeports or investment zones, it’s clear that strategic partnerships with the private sector will be required to deliver on these significant projects, and we invite investors attending UKREiiF to engage with us to take these plans forward.

Cllr Raymond Bremner, Leader, Highland Council, speaking alongside officers from Dundee and Aberdeen, and Iseabail Mactaggart, Deputy Director of Scotland, DBT, at UKREiiF, 2023.
