As the world focuses on building a more sustainable future, Scotland offers many leading contributions, facilitated by the Scottish Government’s Green Industrial Strategy.

The strategy outlines a comprehensive plan to harness the power of green technologies and sustainable practices, driving economic growth while championing environmental stewardship, with our cities at the forefront. It is within this context that our panelists will share insight and their expertise in leading their respective fields.

The strategy itself is a roadmap to a greener, more prosperous Scotland, identifying key areas where Scotland can leverage its natural strengths through the energy transition, particularly in renewables, low-carbon technologies, and circular economy practices.

By capitalising on these areas, Scotland aims to create significant economic opportunities and high-quality jobs, reinforcing its position as a global leader in the green economy.

In her role as Chair of one of the standout initiatives under this strategy, Dame Susan will outline how the Forth Green Freeport can accelerate the nation’s just transition to net zero, supercharging innovation and creating high-quality jobs.

The panel will also share detail on how supportive policy frameworks that foster a collaborative approach between public and private sectors are essential for aligning national and regional priorities. Such a supportive policy environment gives rise to innovation and imaginative solutions to complex problems throughout the public and private sector, presenting a unique environment for investors.

Scotland’s cities are ripe with potential. From renewable energy projects to cutting-edge research hubs, the opportunities are vast and varied. Together, our cities are building a resilient and sustainable economy that benefits all, ensuring that Scotland remains a leader in the global green economy.

Join us at the Scotland Pavilion for this pivotal discussion and be part of Scotland’s journey towards a greener, more prosperous future.
