The new state-of-the-art Dunfermline Learning Campus has been designed with learners in mind. Every aspect of the new campus has been and is being carefully created to give learners the best learning experience and facilities for their course.
Inside the new campus you can expect industry-standard workshops for engineering and construction, a university hub so learners can study to degree level with a range of university partners on campus, a purpose-built learning café, sports hall, and an innovation and events hub to cater for different College and community events.
In addition to the indoor facilities, the campus will be fully equipped with brand new outdoor facilities, including a multi-use outdoor sports area, an external terrace, outdoor spaces for our childcare courses, external dining areas for the hospitality students, covered outdoor workshop areas for built environment courses and a range of outdoor teaching and gathering areas.
Dunfermline Learning Campus is an innovative, integrated and collaborative venture to relocate:
- Fife College (Dunfermline Campus)
- St Columba’s RC High School
- Woodmill High School
to a purpose-built new site on the eastern expansion area of Dunfermline in modern, fit for purpose and low carbon facilities. The schools will accommodate up to 2,700 students and are being designed to give flexibility in the delivery of the curriculum all whilst retaining the individual school identities.. The new campus will have a phased opening during the 2024/25 academic year.
The schools at Dunfermline Learning campus will offer:
- innovative internal spaces,
- a pioneering ‘Learning Lab’ featuring performance analysis, media studio, recording booth, food technology and extensive creative project space,
- inspiring learning plazas promoting collaboration,
- breakout booths to allow for individual study,
- digitally enabled learning spaces,
- a range of outdoor learning spaces,
- community facilities,
- internal sports halls, gym halls, fitness suite and dance studio,
- two external grass sports pitches and three all-weather sports pitches, and
- external tennis courts and multi-use games areas.
